My front suspension came as a kit from Clint at Battlement Fab. Been real happy with it so far. PM clint here to get more info.

Here's the locker:

Will require you setting up the gears again.

Chaos - I hear what you are saying on putting the Bronco back together. I thought that would be the funnest part of the project, but it does end up taking a lot longer to do everything than you think. I swore more putting it back together than any other part. It sucks to have all this nice new paint and be scared to have anything scratch it.

You really need to pat yourself on the back - it really looks amazing.

Man ur running an awesome set up there id love that in my rig only problem is I'm having enough problems just running my stock set up that would take me forever to install something like that..lol would love to have that flex though! And that locker would be awesome to but isn't that locked up all the time? Might be rough turning on the highway..

Lol yeah that's completely TRUE I find myself wiping grease smears off the paint all the time all paranoid..sucks ill hopefully get it ready soon the thing that's hard for me is trying to keep a 200 pound axle that's heavier on one side balanced on a jack while trying to put bolts in...very aggravating..and resulting in cross threaded bolts..uuugh! Ill just have to wait till does of my buddies can come give me a hand

The warm weather makes it harder to not be able to drive your Bronco. It is definitely easier to work on the Bronco with an extra pair of hands. I have done the majority of my truck alone but I have been super lucky to have Zilla, Viper, ZOSO, Cortez, and Rox save my butt.

I really want to see your air cleaner - it looks menacing. Love it.

It is for sure coming along nicely. It is going to be one mean rig when it got it moving. Take your time, don't rush things. Its all about enjoying toying with it.

I love it so far, but if you can weld, you can install this kit. A plasma cutter helps a lot, but not necessary. If you have all the right parts and bust your butt, it can be done in a weekend. Soooooo much better than stock. Just have to make sure your axle has weld on wedges. If not, you may have to cut that wedge shape out of the axle brackets.

No, the detroit will unlock around corners. You will only notice it on the highway if your hubs are locked in. If your t-case is in 2WD and your hubs are unlocked, there is no way for it to influence your driving. If you lock your hubs in, you might feel it slightly. You won't know it's there until you put your tcase in 4WD.

Yeah it definetly sucks knowing I could be cruising it down the road right now but hopefully all this hard work pays off..I just talked to a buddy of mine and he said he would come over and help me out next week so I'm gonna order more parts and jump into it again

Well I ran into a small problem and I wanted some advice if anybody has any..I did that front axle swap on my bronco dana 44 with drums for a dana 44 with discs..I just opened the diff cover on both of them and the one with disc brakes I just put in has 4.10 gears...the one with drums I took out has 3.54s..so Id imagine my rear ford 9 inch has 3.54s in it right now..what I was thinking was I still have a ford 9 inch that is still in my donor bronco that I got the axle with the 4.10s out of...Im thinking I should just yank the gears out of the rear of it and throw them in my bronco and call them good..but I know the rear axle in my bronco at the moment is posi not to sure about the donor bronco just yet..guess what Im wondering is should I leave it like it is and just swap the front gears so it would remain 3.54 or should I keep the 4.10s and swap the rear gears...Im kinda thinking 4.10s sound better..other then that and waiting for a pulley still she will be on the road hopefully next week...

Just What he said. I would run the 4.10's tho. They are far better for 4wheelin.

I have a C4, 33" tires, and 3.54 gears. My setup does good off the line on the street and great on the highway. It is a perfect streetable combo. However, I would do 4.10's if I needed to replace them, especially with 35's or if I went offroad. One thing I have noticed is that 3.54 and 4.10 gear ratios usually require different lockers/lsd, so if you change the gears you likely need to change the locker/lsd.

I am sure you have checked, but I will mention it anyway (since I am a newb and would want to be reminded) - verify the spline count on the axles before making a final decision. thumbs up
