After looking at all your sweet rigs, I figured it was time to post ours. It's not much to look at, but we have big plans for it (being a rod shop, we have to do our best to reach the top).

The plans are mainly for cosmetic changes to the exterior/interior, but the engine bay, underside will be daily-driver-functional. None of the parts that define a Bronco will be changed (hinges, upper wipers, gas caps).

Hopefully it will be done within a year or so, but here are some photos, one when I first got it 6 years ago, and one after the metalwork began.

I completely forgot to ask about this when I was up there! Doh!

Looks like a great start to a project. Let us in on the details. What are the plans for motor and mods?

Looks like a great canvas to work you magic. It will be fun to see what you guys do with that sweet ride. Thanks for posting some photos.

Details:

1989 5.0 roller with a '93 Mustang computer
1998-2001 4r70w with Optishift and Dana 20 adapter
2.5 suspension lift, possibly 1" body lift (preferrably no BL)

Color, not quite sure right now. We have a blue that should fit the bill. Not just another blue, though.

Flatliner projects are definitely SEMA level builds.

Wow, just caught this, so sorry for the late reply. First off, the compliments are greatly appreciated! Not sure if this one will go to SEMA, since it's so far off. It would be neat, though.

As far as updates go, not much has changed recently, aside from getting the gas tank in and rear suspension work done. Once the front end is on, the engine will be ready for fitting. Once all that is done, it's body on, radiator in, body back off, paint engine bay and underside, body back on, then the real fun starts with the body work. Finding time for personal projects is really hard right now. The entire auto industry seems to be picking up like crazy right now.

Nah, it's down to the frame. Once the front end is done and on and the engine and tranny are in I'll go ahead and post some more pics. There's not much to look at right now.

Apparently 0 photos is the maximum...what? So no photos, BUT the engine, transmission, and transfer case are in the frame, the front end and rear end have been rebuilt, the WH 2.5 lift is in, and the BC tank has been installed. There is nothing fancy going on since it's all about function here. No point in making a camping truck hot-rod-perfect.

Next step: drop the body on, make cut out the wheel openings, pull the body, bedliner the underside, drop the body on permanently, then it's a go on the bodywork! I see the light at the end of the tunnel...but we're still IN the tunnel...

Yeah, upload your photos to the likes of Photobucket and link them here.

Good to hear about the progress!

Hopefully this works. As you can see, it's nothing too special on the underside. WH suspension, 4r70W, rebuilt Dana 20 twin stick, BC Tank, and 4.88's. Paint is DuPont Hot Rod Black.

We just got busier than we've ever been, so this project might slow down a bit...yet again. Arg.

It's been a while since the last update. Sloooooowly getting there! What a mess!

Obviously, color ideas and body mod plans change. Of course, none of that gets revealed until it's done.

Just wanted to let you all know we're still here and checking in from time-to-time. We've been so busy with customer projects I haven't had much motivation to do the Bronco after hours. I hope to see you all on the trails one day!

Enjoy the ambiguous photo. ;p
