Post guns & cars
Now that I've got your attention.

I spent last weekend in San Diego with my family. While I was there I got to go shooting with my cousin-in-law & uncle at the Escondido police range. My cousin is a cop & firearms instructor. Who would think that I'd go to Cali & get to shoot guns I can't easily own in Colorado? I got to shoot Shawn's Colt M4LE (a short barrel AR) & his Remington 870 w/14" barrel. We sighted in my uncle's Remington 770 30-06 on the long range. We also ran through the qualification course several times, shooting a Kimber 1911 & Glock .45 , Ruger SP 101 357 mag, Glock 40 (full size, mid & compact), and a Heckler & Koch USP 9mm. I also got to shoot the M4, while advancing on targets. That was the first time I've ever shot a rifle while moving. I thought we were going to just plink, but I got a bunch of instruction on tactical shooting.

Post Re: guns & cars
On Sunday, me, my step-father & mother attended the LA Auto Show. There are about 50+ pics in my photobucket album here:

I was hoping there would be an Icon Bronco, but no such luck. I did see an Icon FJ40 though:

It was a 31 Lincoln. I thought it was super cool too.

Yeah it was cool. They also had an Eco-boost motor stripped into individual pieces and laid out. It was used, you could smell the oil in the area. The block was so cute, it looked like I could pick it up and run away with it. It was getting super crowded so I didn't stick around long.

Funny, story: I overheard a guy explaining to his friend that he just got an Eco-boost & it worked by recirculating the exhaust gas back into the motor & reburning it so it was "super clean". He also thought that his F150 weighed less than 3000 lbs. laughing2

I just walked away & shook my head.
