Anybody use Hydraulic Liftgate conversions? Thoughts?

 Anybody use Hydraulic Liftgate conversions? Thoughts?I'm looking at getting a set of the hydraulic liftgate props for my rear window. Anybody use them? I was looking at the kit from Tom's as they are about 1/2 the price as Wild Horses. Give me your pro's and con's. Thanks!

Re: Anybody use Hydraulic Liftgate conversions? Thoughts? I installed a set many years ago. I'm very happy. I didn't use a kit, I just bought a couple shocks and the hardware from Carquest or Napa. It wasn't any cheaper than a kit, if I remember.

Re: Anybody use Hydraulic Liftgate conversions? Thoughts? Check mcmaster.com for new shocks. Replaced some for my topper on my truck for less than half what the topper store wanted for OEM's
