Post Pulling a van motor
As always, I LOVE to over think things. 45 days of planning for 45 minutes of work. Of course, it never works out to my benefit. There is always that one thing that goes wrong and completely throws a wrench in my accomplishing something in record time.

Anyhow, to the point. I'm about to pull a motor. It's in a van. Looking at it, it would seem there is not nearly enough room to fit it out the front without removing the grill and the core support. From the inside was my first inclination, but that seems impossible without first removing the transmission.

So, have you ever pulled a motor from a van? And how did you get that square peg out of that round hole?

Well.... Do you need the van to be usable when you're done? If not you have options, both include the use of a saws all and/or angle grinder. Cut the core support & firewall and pull it put the front or cut the floor and pull the engine & trans out via the door.

I do believe the "owner" of said vehicle would prefer minimal damage incurred during the removal, so as to continue to profit from parting out.

If you must leave the front parts in place your only real choice is to pull all the junk hanging on the block Upper intake, headers, front accessories. And the seats.Pull the driveshaft unbolt, slide the tranny back and down. And it will fit thru the doghouse with a twist
