Tank vent line question

I want to run my exhaust over the frame rail just behind the B pillar body mount (just behind the doors), but I've got a vent line from the gas tank to the charcoal canister in the passenger's side wheel well in that spot. I'd like to retain the canister to keep fuel smell to a minimum, but any bright ideas on how to relocate the vent line? I'm hoping to not have to build a whole new line.
