Full Family Style Cage

Postby vesparex » Tue Jul 22, 2014 4:14 pm

Hi everyone,

Aiming to put a family cage in my Bronco. Was looking for info if it would be better to search out someone local to build or to purchase from a vendor?

I had been eyeing the BailieBilt family cage: http://broncobumpersandcages.com/store/ ... rch=&Page=

Opinions? Ideas?

I'd go local. Shipping is expensive for cages. If you do purchase from a vendor, Gordon Bailie makes good stuff. Another option is to buy a kit and have someone local weld it up.

I'd also look into someone local. And do some research as to what you want in your cage. Aside from protection, you can add places to mount a Hi-lift jack, spare tire, etc..

I hear good things about http://www.crawlertech4x4.com/. Also http://www.addictedoffroad.com/ is a toyota man first, but has some love for Broncos as well.

I've done business with both crawlertech and addicted and would trust either with this. Both are good shops doing quality work.

I would PM CrawlerCreation first. He is a true craftsman and as good (or better) than the big guys. His tube front bumpers are a work of art.

Well yeah! Why didn't I think of that?? Keeping it in the club is the best!

Cool thing is you can have him do the cage exactly how you want it - bungs for seat belts, seat mounts, dash bar, harness loops, handles, jack mount, rear seat mounts, frame tie-ins, anything you want he can do.
