lotos lt5000d plasma cutter review

Postby trei75bronco » Thu Jul 24, 2014 7:58 pm

I finally got the plasma cutter operating tonight on 110v not the 220v I wanted but it's working. I read the reviews about this unit and all were pretty good so I bought one. I cut a few chunks of 1/4 steel like butter. There was a little slag on the bottom but I think with 220v it will be better. It's compact, easy to use, and the price is right. I would recommend this to anyone.

1/4 on 110v single pass.

They're incredibly fun. It's one of my favorite tools to use. You'd have to be dead to not enjoy cutting steel with a 40,000 degree flame.

I'll be in the market after the first of the year. Been doing a lot of reading on different brands and this is one that im looking into.

I'm truly amazed at the quality. I probably would go up one model and do a pilot arc. But mine works great. A bonus too is the upgraded the torch style too. There is no more zip tie trigger.

Plasma can't be beat for sure, beats a cutting torch for sure for cutting.

I used to sell industrial welding supplies and I have a Hypertherm Power Max 45 and a deposit on a 5x10 plasma cam table.
