in-lbs or end play?

Postby ZOSO » Tue Nov 11, 2014 7:25 pm

I've read 2 different things for the j-shift front output. One says endplay between .003-.005. Other places say preload of 2-5in-lbs. So which is it? I know the rear output is endplay of .003-.005 Im about done with it and want to make sure I get it all set-up correctly. Also what size are the yoke nuts? I have a good source Im gonna try to see if I can get em.

Isn't it both, torque to spec & confirm end play? If end play is wrong then shim to the correct spec.
Best to Date MPG: 26.6
