dip-stick dripping

My dip-stick is dripping..... poke


No really tho the trans dipstick is leaking. I know its a flair and its tight. And ideas of what else I can do?

A light amount of RTV on the threads might do it.

I put quality Teflon tape on it worked for me.

- Are you sure it is coming from the interface with the flare? Could the tube be cracked?

- What is the condition of the flare on the tube and the mating surface in the trans?
Cummins R2.8 diesel, ZF5, AtlasII, HP44/BB9, ARBs, coiled / linked suspension, 37" KO2s, full cage, bumpers, etc.

It all looked good when I put it together. I really dont want to drain it to pull the tube. But im sure it needs to happen.

Tight enough I dont feel comfortable to try n tighten it anymore.

Gotcha, have a rubber bung handy and jam it in there when you pull the tube. I'm with Digger, I bet the lip is deformed or has a small nick in it.
