troubles with derale electric fan

Has anyone installed the derale electric fan from wildhorse? Finally got it all hooked up and the fan didn't kick on at 180 so I turned the controller down, the fan kicked on for a second and shut off, by now the temp was over 200 so I had to shut her down and let it cool. I tried again and I can't get the fan to turn on at at all!!? Any info would be greatly appreciated
