C-4 Cooling line connection measurements

Postby landshark » Thu Mar 02, 2017 8:43 pm

Ok i know this has been rehashed a bunch but I have fumbled around long enough to just ask what are the sizes for the rear C4 transmission connection on the C4 and the size of the flared stock cooling line that goes into the C4?

I added a transmission cooler under the passenger seat and want to put it inline with the stock return lines where it connects at the C4. From what I have read I will need this on the transmission side..

"The original fittings are National Standard Free-Fitting Straight Mechanical Pipe Thread (NPSM) with an o-ring and 5/16" inverted flare on the outside. They are close to 1/8" NPT but the hole is not tappered. You could crack the case trying to use an NPT fitting. There are 5/16" inverted flare to -6 adapters available. Just have to keep the original adapters in place.

5/16" inv (1/2"-20) x -6
Aeroquip
#FCM2111"

no idea on the stock cooler line...

Looking to convert to -6an

Stock tubing is 5/16". You can use the aeroquip adapters above to get to an-6. You could also tie back into the stock tubing with some AN-TO-TUBE adapters. I believe you can get -6 to 5/16".

I used those sizes. Not sure if these images help.
