replacing floorpans and body mount question

Postby mickphatmac » Tue Jan 22, 2019 9:43 am

I'm looking at replacing a portion/all of the drivers side and passenger side floor pans on the '68. Would you all recommend replacing all 8 body mounts at the same time as I do the floors? (since 2 of them will be affected doing the pans)

What are the con's if don't?

I know that I probably should just do it but I've done it before and they're such a pain in the ass...

Do it. If they are old and collapsed you will regret it. I know money is always tight but it is cheap insurance to get everything squared.

About to replace some substantial body bits and I did body mounts first to help keep things in place as best I can

Do the mounts first. If anything needs tweeked, you are making adjustments & fitting to a solid foundation. If you do the floors on old mounts & replace them later it might not fit quite right.
