5 day trip riding southern Colorado

 5 day trip riding southern ColoradoMy son, daughter and I went riding around Sothern Colorado a couple weeks ago (before the wildfires). Here's a few pictures.
Ready to go  Going up Skyline Drive just outside of Canon City  My son coming up Skyline Drive behind us on his Sportster  More Skyline Drive  Highway 50 along the Arkansas River  Stopped on the Continental Divide - Wolfcreek Pass  Looking down off of Wolf Creek Pass  Our Timeshare in Pagosa Springs, we met my riding buddy from AZ there  Day 2 riding towards Taos New Mexico (yes, New Mexico is a State for those who don't know)  New Mexico near Taos - it's what I picture when I think of NM  Taking a break from riding  My son on my Goldwing. The sportster was killing his back  Me on the Sportster and my buddy on his Ultraglide  Sunset in front of the timeshare  Moonrise  |

 Chimney Rock  Red Rock canyons  Silverton  The Million Dollar Highway  Snow covered Peaks  Dragging pegs through the hairpins  Views of the highway - guardrails are for wimps  Ouray Colorado  A waterfall coming out from under the highway  More waterfalls  Day 4 - Ride to Lake City Colorado  My daughter fascinated by a chipmunk  My son  My daughter and I on the Goldwing  Still Snow on the passes  Another picture on the Goldwing  Riding the high alpine valleys  The Rio Grande  More creative ways to stretch out a stiff back. Those forest service Informations signs are good for something.  Slumgullion Summit - my favorite name for a mountain pass  Lunch in Lake City  Thinkin'. It got very cold on the way home, so no more pictures  Day 5 - Baloons lifting behind our condo  Ballons and my buddy heading home to Arizona  My son doing slow turns in the parking lot  I'm almost ready  4th time crossing Wolf Creek pass  A Buffalo herd  All of us in one shot  Back down highway 50  Just under 1500 miles in 5 days. |
