Electric Wiper Kit with 2 Motors

My new Family Cage is too close to the Windshield to install the 1973 Factory Electric Wiper Motor. I need to get the 2 motor wiper kit. Here is the Wiper Kit on Wild Horses:

cut the cage and reweld , is the cross bar in the way

That is a good idea. I have even seen guys bend the tubing to arch over the motor. Unfortunately, the cage is already powdercoated so that complicates things.
