Curious why you're wanting to drop?

What do you consider too much caster and why?

I would venture a guess that I have more caster than most, if not all, broncos here and I love the way it handles and drives.I wouldn't change mine if someone else did the work!

When I installed my Bloody Knuckle/Cage arms w/6.5* bushings, I ended up with 14* caster. I never drove it that way. I flipped my c-bushings over (both front & back bushings) and ended up with about 7*.

12 degrees more or less... slapping some duff under it in a week or so and want to keep the road manners decent.

Gotcha. Yeah 12° is too much. I'm at 8 and feel it is perfect. Very stable at any speed, good return to center and tracks nice and straight, even with bias tires. If you can get to between 6 and 8 I bet you'd be very happy.

The duffs have 4.5 built in (if i remember right) and with 4 degree C's I should be right around 8 which would be nice....
