Just be careful! That's a LOT of weight for the spindle, especially if the load is bouncing at all.
1973 Bronco, 351 SEFI, Locked, discs, 35's ZF-5spd and Atlas 4spd. 235:1 Crawl Ratio. It may be ugly, but it's slow.

That looks sweet! How did you mount the gas can to the rack? As Jesus said, make sure the spindle is well supported. There are a number of reports of the trailer spindle breaking. The speculation is that they're happening on rigs where most of the weight is riding on the spindle itself.

check out my previous post of how i have the mounting. I dont see this being a failure setup, I hope, but any thing can happen. This structure is supported very well. Every thing is very secure. Theres a giant bolt on the other side of the spindle suppoting most of the weight.

I used a gas can mounting bracket and mounted it to the high lift jack.

I didn't see those pics and while that support will work from when you're not moving, you will still have back and forth forces that will try to snap that hinge off. Especially with the weight of a cooler up there and forward of the center line of the hinge.
It may hold well for you and I hope it does, just watch it closely. May want to tether is somehow because you can imagine what that would do bouncing down the highway...

The front of the cooler rack is mounted to the rollbar and is fully removable, which is taking most of the weight. This thing is super solid. I dont think the pics show how this is mounted. but i still watch closely

Ahh, yes that wasn't clear. I like the idea of the cooler rack being mounted to the cage!

Threw the springs on the bronco. Sits great and great articulation.
