Just a little update. trouble shooting the idle issue now with howell. It either hunts real bad and stalls or idles at 1400rpm. So with their help hope to have that figued out. The starter went out saturday. Had to pick up a new one and got that put in. I think I have all the leaks fixed except for one. The trans linkage leaks.

Finally got a hold of howell. Need to get my sideband installed and get a number off the cal prom and get that info to them for a new cal prom. It wont idle because it seems to be running way lean.

It's all in the fuel pressure. Once I ppinched off the return line to raise the pressure at the injectors the hunting idle stopped and it runs. Now to pull the throttle body off and try to make a permanant adjustment. Also need to find a different fan. This one is too deep. Does not pull air through the radiator.

The problem is the fan is too far in the shroud so air doesn't come out from the shroud. With it inside the shroud i think the air just moves around not past. He said it doesnt blow across the engine then. If he moves the fan back any the blades hit the crank pulley. That fan has a lot of pitch to the blades. I think he has another one of mine to try or he will be able to use my fixed blade fan when i install my Taurus 2speed fan.

The other fan is the same way. Also got a fuel pressure gauge to put in the line to check it.

Great job!!

Is the video of the burn out real? For us new folks, is it really a Pontiac engine?

An all wheels burn out is called for!

It's real, but not my rig. Although the 351 Windsor Rob is finishing up in there will probably turn them with a little brake assist.

Got the gauges working now it has water temp. Got it running pretty darn good. Installed a new alternator so now it charges. Need to hook up the kick down cable and it's time to put some miles on her. Hope the weather holds out saturday so I can go for a spin for more than around my neighborhood. Looking to drop it off next week for new exhaust.

Got most of the bugs worked out. Put 5 miles on it yesterday. Ran it to the gas station and filled it up. 80$ freaking bucks. Plan to drive it today. Gonna have to tear down the front suspension. Needs to have the caster measured and fixed. It wanders really bad. Steering doesn't return to center while driving. Kinda a scary to drive.
