Some new radius arms

Post by Clint »

Wanted to show you guys the new arms we have been working on and see what your thoughts were or if you had any questions! We have one piece of this suspension system to finish up, and thats the shocks, and the whole thing will be ready. For now though, the front is DONE, and ready to go.

specs on the arms: Fully fabricated out of .25" flat plate, cut on the table. the angle on the arms is 20 degrees. The bottom plate is jigged to our fab table and the sides are tacked on, then 9 square gussets are placed at 45 degree angles inside the arms. Everything is then welded together. The upper arm connects to a .25" thick tab, making the arm material .5 thick at the middle on each tab.

Looks very nice! Any idea on pricing yet? I'm hoping to be in the market for a long arm kit around Christmas.

What's the length of them? Are you also designing a shock hoop?

We are working up a couple different lengths on them right now. The first set for the KOH rig is 38" long, then add about 3 inches for the axle bracket. The production sets will be a little shorter

Doing a shock tower similar to the coil tower, adjustable.

Not going to be cheap, but its worth the expense :D Give me a call for some pricing options as we are offering some deals to get some sets out there.

Clint, what are you doing with the rear shock mounts, mine need attention, but I don't want to redo them now and then redo them again when your rear suspension stuff is available.

Thats one thing we are working on right now. it will either be the WH rear shock mount, or something similar Im thinking. I have a pretty good relationship with those guys and it looks like its really the best option, but we havent finalized it yet.

Looks really nice. Your intent is to have the bend in the arms to clear tires at full lock? Just clarifying as you may have them staged on the wrong side in the pictures.

I am anxious to see these installed to really get the idea on how they fit.

Yeah, I was in a hurry to send those out :D Yup, it is designed for the EB to be able to clear large tires.

Should have pics next week of the KOH Bronco with them installed.

That pic differs from the final version in the tabs to connect the upper arms are not integrated in the final version. So, through the bend they are .5 thick on each side and the tabs are broke through the bend in the arms. Along with the gussets and welding, they should hold up to whatever you want to throw at them.

Has anyone bought this set up? I looked on their web site and this set up was not on there. Was curious about price and whether or not this would ever be offered as a system.
