Missing that critical piece to your build or resto?

Need a few odds and ends

Postby akaFrankCastle » Thu Oct 31, 2013 1:34 pm

Project X needs to get rolling and eventually driving on its own. So, I am looking for a few pieces.

1) Set of (4) 8x6.5" bolt pattern wheels, prefer 16.5" diameter, but will also work with anything currently mounted with tires. Don't need anything fancy or budget busting. They are only rollers.

2) Radius arm brackets. I already have radius arms, just need the points where they mount to the frame. Was going to work up a long arm kit or go with something from a fab shop/parts house, but need to do something sooner rather than later.

3) 4x4x2 box, if you have one already built, let's talk. If not, I'll be looking for someone to do a build/clean up of one (Looking at you Casa, need some green?)

4) Track bar. Any condition. Mostly for mock up/modification purposes.

5) Drag link. Same story, any condition.

I'll add more as I think of it. Lemme know what you've got.

I've got my old trac bar that I cut and sleeved to lengthen it for my FW swap, it's yours if you want, I've got that tank and straps for you when you're ready, I might have a set of stock steel wheels from a 90's f250 for you minus tires, I don't think you should run stock length radius arms, I can tell you from personal experience that it doesn't work well with FW axles, I saw some lengthened radius arms on CL for 200obo yesterday, ill see if I can find that ad for you

Not sure I'll have them out on the timeline you need, but you're welcome to my old radius arm brackets when I get my long arm swap started.

Appreciate it.

I wouldn't say I am planning to run them long term. I just need to get it rolling first and eventually moving under its own power. Once I get that accomplished, I will go back and take care of the upgrades. It's not like I will be busting the bank on stock parts anyhow.

I saw those long arms too.

Dang those are purty. Might have to take you up on that. A little bigger than what I am planning, but that just gives me a little extra wiggle room.
