Carrier bearing parts number

Postby Gregg » Thu Dec 26, 2013 8:44 pm

I'm (I use that term loosely) getting ready to drop in an Aussie lunchbox in my Dana 44. If the carrier bearings/races look like they need replacing, I wanted to have some on hand. I can't seem to find anyone that knows which ones to get. Does anyone know a part number and/or location I can pick some up. I don't think I have time to wait for shipping.
Thanks.

I have a master rebuild kit for a Dana 44. You can use anything and/or everything out of the kit and just replace it after your done. I'll bring it with me on Sunday.

Done and Done. I'm assuming there's a cover gasket in there too. Any suggestions on the type and quantity of gear oil?

Despite what everybody says...you are a pretty generous guy.

I'll snap a few pics and post them when I get home. Gasket is included (I believe).

Actually, I need everything from that rebuild kit except the gasket and carrier bearings. Any chance you'd be interested in selling off anything that Gregg doesn't want?

Shawn, 4Wheelparts carries what you need, it's the G2 Dana 44 Master Installation Kit Part Number: G/235-2033. I've used this kit three times and it's a nice kit. The store off I-70 & Peoria is their warehouse location and usually has it in stock.
