Have fun guys. I'm likely out, as there is virtually no chance I'll have my rig back together in time to go. If I do I'll be tent camping anyway and am happy to sleep in whatever random corner is available.

76fordgroncogirl and I are staying in our truck camper, I believe Gunnibronco is bringing a small pop up with room for himself, Viperwolf1 and 4 Swedish swimsuit models. That being said we need to know if your tent camping or bringing another motor home/camper or tent along with are you trailering your rig? Depending on if the campground will allow us to park behind the cabins as they did last year will depend on how tight the parking gets. Last year we had 7 vehicles with 2 spaces this year we have the potential of 18 with 4 spaces. Please post your responses soon.
We are also looking to caravan from the Denver area on April 29th. Let us know if you can participate in that too.
I can't believe so many road-worthy Broncos are being trailered. Everyone must be planning to break something real good. Either that or they know the guy that built the transmission. This is going to be a great trip.

I'm camping outside of the "pay grounds". I'll have a tow rig, trailer, and Bronco. I'm gonna be with some other guys who are bringing dirt bikes. There should be some extra space out by us for trailer parking if need be. If it starts to look tight for all the trailers, let me know. The spot I camp is about 15 minutes outside of Moab on the GJ side.
With that said- if anyone is looking to join us camping, let me know.

I have to justify the purchase of this Truck! Also this needs to go Smoooooth as silk so I can convince Michelle that this should be an annual trip. FYI I spoke with NASCAR Mike and he will probably be coming along with me. I'll confirm by the end of the weekend. Is this the same place you guys stayed last year? How bad is the parking situation going to be? I could call to see if any more camp sights are available to help with the parking situation. I'm thinking we will be bringing a tent

I will be driving my bronco from Junction. I will be alone and can bring a tent or try and sleep in the bronco if space is too tight. I really appreciate "sharing" the campfire and getting to know everyone. My bronco has a pretty stock suspension so that and my lack of offroad driving experience will be my limiting factor.

Theres one thing Im happy about. Im not taking a bronco of my own. I have a lot I need to do to my truck just to make the haul and if i was taking my bronco i'd have to get that ready too.
Im getting excited. Last year was a blast and this year will be even better.

You might want to change up the starting method some. Remember, certain hooligans have it figured out...

I got the OK from the boss to swap my vacation today so I am now "officially " in and Mike is in as well. I see that there is going to be a caravan out of Denver on tuesday. Is anyone going before that? Mike and I are tentatively planning on leaving Saturday Morning. I'm thinking about running the "offroad" portion of Arches National Park on that Sunday or Monday. Always wanted to do that but have never had enough time to do it. FYI, its currently 14 degrees warmer in Moab than it is at my house.

ak68 (Bill) is an old retired guy. I will drive my (ugly) bronco from Grand Junction and tent camp. I would be interested in joining the caravan maybe at the Fruita exit off of 70. Plenty of parking space, gas, and fast food. I am traveling alone so would have an empty seat if needed.

I'm still undecided whether I will drive or trailer mine.
Either way, I will be tenting it again this year.

PS........without openly admitting that my Bronco can't do the big boy trails............
If we go on some epic trail where a more capable trail rig is needed.........I would love to ride shotgun.
Keep me in mind.

I'm not sure when I'll be able to leave. The new job seems pretty flexible. I'd like to meet up with the group, in GJ or Fruita. Is there an estimated time of departure/arrival in GJ? I know its subject to change at this point, but wondering if you'll leave early/am or later/pm.

I may tow a small teardrop camper that a friend of mine builds. It would be pretty neat behind an early bronco since it is a retro style teardrop. I'll have his information if anyone is considering a small off-road capable customizable trailer.

What is the latest on the campground head count / vehicle count? Mike and I are going to go out a few days before the convoy so I'm going to be calling them in the next couple days to see if the y can accommodate our earlier arrival.

No changes, parking will be extremely tight!
You can go on their website and see what open spaces they have available.

Based on last year we'll probably leave early (0700ish) from here. Should take about 4 hrs to get to GJ but add in time for a fuel stop for the haulers. So I would say 1130ish.

That sounds good. We should be able to meet you then. I only suggested Fruita because of easy access on and off of 70 and big parking areas for tow rigs.

As if our plans for this years Bronco Safari weren't already awesome enough..........
It looks like we will have a "Colorado Classic Broncos" dinner on Thursday night, May 1st.
Scott Barnes graciously offered to let us have it at his rental house. Scott is the guy who recently picked up a Big Oly replica here in Denver and will be racing it in the Mexican 500 this fall. You can follow their adventures on Facebook at Vintage Bronco Racing.
The dinner will be a burgers and beer deal with everyone bringing a side dish and their favorite beverages.
We'll get some details out soon but I just wanted to let everyone know to save the date.

I just booked another camp space at slick rock . Mike and I plan to arrive early ( Sat the 26th ) and stay through at least Friday. Spaces are getting tight so we are in 166 through at least the 30th we are then booked after that in a space that is to be determined or we might stay put. We shall see. If they F it up were moving in with you guys! I just figured a little extra parking and tent space couldn't hurt. If anyone is coming out early you know where to look for us. My next internet stop is the Bronco safari webpage to get registered.

I may not be coming to the Safari afterall. I'm registered but I traded my bronco for a built land rover diesel rig. Definitely not a bronco. I thought long and hard about the trade and the comfort, air conditioning, condition, etc. on the rover just made more sense for me. I'm getting less able to do the work that a bronco like mine needed and being retired the money that would be required to get my bronco to where I wanted it was a concern.
My friends are giving me lots of grief for "abandoning the bronco brotherhood".

I can't speak for anyone else, and I've never been to this particular event -- but -- Any other EB gathering I've ever been to has included "non-EB" vehicles and they've always been welcomed! I think the Brotherhood is more about the person than the vehicle, actually. And besides, you'll eventually miss the EB so much that you'll be back in the game so you need to stay connected!
Bring the little Land Rover - personally, I think they are pretty cool! (and for the record, I also own a J**P 4 door X? whatever they call it! I wouldn't think twice about taking it to an EB event - that's how EB guys roll)
