Steering wheel question.

On the way home today I lost the nut holdng on the steering wheel. Lucky I was in my parking lot when it happened and was able to limp
It in a parking spot. Is that nut supposed to have loctite on it. It's been getting loose a little and I have been tightening it but this the first time it came completely off.

The steering wheel nuts I have are stover/deformed thread lock nuts. I've never pulled any that used Loctite to secure them. I would go to Napa and get a new one. Cheap insurance the wheel doesn't fall in your lap on the freeway.
