Where does this wire go?

Postby hockeydad4-22 » Wed Jan 28, 2015 7:52 pm

We put in 1 new wire and one is an existing wire

Both are on the passenger side of the engine harness. Alt is not charging

The old wire is ts one that says "ign relay" and f grounded kills the truck. the new wire is tagged "alt from IG"

Both are "key on hot"

What am I missing? Which side of the relay gets the old wire and where do I connect the new one to the alt

Please hurry, multi meter is reading 11.13 just since starting this post

The "I" terminal at the alternator needs 12V in run. The "A" terminal should have battery voltage at all times.
