What to do with Explorer Shell

Post by 66Crawler »

Where are you guys taking the explorer shells to sell them for scrap?

I am hoping to have them lift it off my trailer so I can sell the tires and axle.

Thanks

Last one I recycled went to Western Metal Recycling, they just poked through it with a fork lift and away it went.

Thanks guys.

At this point I just want it out of my yard, life has been way too crazy and this shell has been sitting around for over a year now.

Any chance that thing has a straight hood that also happens to be maroon in color? Or a good left front turn signal assembly?

I will check on the turn signal assembly tonight.

Hood is white.

I honestly don't know if any of the electronics are good.

Drove it on to the trailer, drove it off the trailer and pulled the engine and harness for Gary to work on someday.

Mine is an 01. Since my wife is no longer driving by braille in it, I figure it's time to fix stuff like the broken turn signal housing. The hood is straight but the paint is peeling bad. If I can find one the right color I'll just slap it on.

If you have any of the parts I listed above in working order I'd be interested, let me know what you need for them and your time to remove them. Oh and if the drivers seat is power and works through its full range of travel I could use that too! Mine doesn't go far enough forward for my 5' tall wife to drive :P
Otherwise I'm good on all other parts, I'm going to drive mine for another year before I tear it down.
