15x7 Wheels

Postby colby45 » Sun May 03, 2015 9:18 am

Hey guys,

I'm in the market for some wheels. Something like 15x7 or 15x8 is what I was hoping to find if anyone has an extra set they would want to part with. Thanks guys!

I did so much searching that I ended up with more than I need.

I had to buy more than I needed to get a set of (5) super nice ones to keep

In this case, the "crappy ones" are almost as nice as the really nice ones........but nowhere near the price

Those look great. You think some 30 x 9.5 x 15 tires would fit on a 15x8.5 wheel? I have a basically brand new set of them I would like to use but the wheels I currently have are too fat.

I honestly think the wheels would be too wide for those tires.

Meanwhile, somebody else has already offered to buy them.

I think a 15x6 or 15x7 would be much more suitable for those tires.

Have you considered a set of stock steel wheels?

Stock steel wheels would be fantastic. I can't seem to find a place to buy a set. Where do you guys normally get them?

I'm sure Don Allison has more than a few sets laying around. Shoot him an email: kermitsplace101@comcast.net

He's in the Springs.

I got a hold of Don. I'm going to grab a set of 15x6's from him as soon as I can make a trip down to the Springs. Thanks for the suggestion!

15x7 Wheels

Postby akaFrankCastle » Fri May 15, 2015 12:20 pm

I haven't paid more then $40 for a set of stock wheels. And they was only because they had tires on them. Just saying.

I should note that I am notoriously cheap and patient.

I'm going to grab 5 15x6's from Don this weekend down in the Springs for $90 so I'm gonna stick with that because he's expecting me. I'm okay with it. It's the cheapest I found on short notice. The wheels and tires that are currently on Sally are out of balance, old and rotted so she's not driveable at speeds above about 40 or she gets a bad front end shimmy. The wheels are too fat for the skinnier tires I have ready to put on.

Also, I just got a new car, so I'm dying to drive it. A trip to the Springs should be perfect for that too.

Not a bad price at all. I'm gonna guess they'll be in better condition than what I've found.

Yes they are in fantastic shape. A little cleanup and they will be all set to have some tires mounted. What a treat to meet Don. I had a blast talking with him about his various projects and seeing his yard. The craftsmanship in his Broncos is amazing and what a nice guy. I'll definitely be headed back down to see him again in the near future. Thanks for the referral akaFrankCastle!
