Knuckle confirmation
Guys, the knuckles on the '76-'77 Bronco axles are the same ones that are on the '78-'79 Bronco and '72-'79 F150, right? That's my recollection, and my google-fu appears to be malfunctioning.

Re: Knuckle confirmation
I don't think so. If I remember correctly where the tie rod mounts is in a slightly different position or thickness. That's what causes them to rub on 15" rims. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong though.

Phyler is correct. The 76 and 77 knuckles where the tre mounts are slightly bent toward the tire where as the 78-79 are straight and slightly lower and just a bit beefier.

Cool, thanks. Anyone able to provide the measurement between the center of the knuckle hole where the tire rod connects on the '76-'77 knuckles?

Just to further confuse you the late '70s F150 SuperCab knuckle arms are about the same height as the '76-'77 Bronco knuckles but straight.
Duff makes a copy of them, and BCB sells the Duff knuckles as part of a disc conversion kit also.

Your looking for the measurement between each knuckle from the tie rod holes? I can do it tonight, Mike 76FB might be able to as well ;)

If I remember correctly the 78-79 knuckles also have more clearance around the axle.

All the disc brake knuckles have more clearance in the spindle hole than the drum knuckles.
The hole size is 4 1/8" vs. 3 1/4"

I'm not going to get over to the 76 until after the weekend.

I thought the 78-79 were larger than the 75-77. Maybe not, it may have just been larger than the drums.
