A pile of stuff in Cascade NOT MINE

Post by akaFrankCastle »

Not mine.

I went and looked today. Two cast wedge HP D44s. One HD D44 8 lug. One closed knuckle HD 8 lug 44. A set of axles that were under a Bronco that was raced heavily (Mint 400 Class III).

Stuff stuff and more stuff. Guy says he will keep it up for sale for about a week and then scrap it.

I might stop by on my way to Pueblo next week. If you want something, let me know. If I wind up connecting with him I can pick these up as well.

Haven't been able to get any more information back on the molds yet. Took a few days to hear back on some other stuff I inquired about.

The poster is the brother in law of the actual owner. He's helping her clear out some of her late husband's stuff. He's not super responsive but a very nice guy and an old Bronco guy himself.

I'm hoping to be headed back out there on Saturday to more thoroughly look over a 1970 Bronco that has been stretched and turned into a chase truck of sorts for an old Mint 400 racer. 351W, C4, gated shifter, bulk head, half cab, lots of neat parts. But the body is trashed.

I'll pick up the fiberglass parts and of they are molds, we'll get them north to you JGZ. If they are inserts, I might keep them. We shall see.

Hardly. But maybe. Hard to say. I inquired about a 9" and D44 housing for EB he had and was told 100/each.

The blue 9" is interesting. Was under his brother's race truck and is likely very far from straight or true. And has 8 lug adapters. I'll probably be asking for a quote on that as well if only for the free float/locking kit it appears to have on it.

The race truck has he front end chopped and tubed to be turned into a pre-runner 2wd.

I was mainly interested in the 9", also mostly because of the full float ends. If you don't pick it up let me know.

If you guys pick up the blue 9" and part it I'd be interested in the center section/pumpkin.

Forgot to mention, the 1970 Bronco is for sale for 1000.00 with title. Most of the body will likely wind up as razor blades in China. But some usable parts there I am sure.
