Ideas for a CCB 50th Anniversary Trinket?

Post by Digger »

Would there be any interest in creating a CCB-specific 50th Anniversary trinket for our Broncos?

I haven't given it a ton of thought, but we have a pretty good pool of resources here. I wasn't thinking of anything in particular, but we could make a badge for the trucks like they did on CB.com, or an inexpensive accessory for our trucks or a desk toy as a few ideas.

I'd be willing to do some CAD work if the job required. Maybe someone else has access to machine shop, laser cutter, molder, etc.

I'd be interested. I was bummed I missed the badges on CB and that thing has gotten a little ugly over there. I like the idea of a badge or something to put on the trucks.

I was thinking about this earlier this summer... I was thinking of a 5.0 badge (same font & size) without the period and "year" off the bottom corner of the 0, cut out of 3/16 aluminum

A badge would be nice, it could be mounted on a vehicle or a desk plaque. Not to throw names around but Colby has his 3D printer that could likely make a mock up. You're welcome Colby, haha.

I really like our CCB badge/decal. If we could get one of those made about 3/4 the size of the sticker in all aluminum that would be tight!!!

Here is a simple example of a little stick on one for the dash, and then a more elaborate one milled or poured or? ?? for the outside...All aluminum...I would buy one like that!

Mick - where where those ice races held? Those stickers are as old as I am!

Anyway, something would be cool, but I am not creative enough to come up with something. I am better at critiquing! LOL!

I like the dash badge idea, I'd be in for one. Key fob would also be neat.

might be cool to have the "Bronco" script in the mix. These guys do a lot of custom Aluminum plaques for the hotrod/ car club scene, like the one above:

Not sure anyone has any interest, but I found some bottle poppers at a local store for 2 EUR/ea. They are stainless steel, but I know a guy who does laser engraving. I'm wondering how a laser etched logo would look on stainless steel??

Thanks Gunni, but if there is a vector file, it would make things much easier. Those can be directly imported into Solidworks, I can bring in a .jpeg, but then I would have to trace lines over it to create a drawing file.
