New Guy saying Hi !!!!!!
Hey guys. Just found this forum and joined up. I am a Colorado native and am living in Aurora right now. I have a 69 thats been in my family since 1970. I got it from my folks a few years ago but its been in storage. I finally pulled it out this year and got it running again and am looking forward to getting it some much needed updating. As soon as it gets nice again, I'll get some pix of it and post them up. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. See ya all soon.

It's already modified. Detroit locker in the rear, dana 44 with disc brakes up front, custom paint, ZZ4 Small block Chevy (sorry Ford purists) Thunderbird tilt steering column, etc. etc. Like I say, I'll get some pix up soon. Thanks for the welcome.

The Chevy swap was actually done a long time ago. My dad put a 400 small block in back in the 70's. We had a guy that built transmissions and we put a Torque flight with a chevy bell housing welded on to it. It has been a bullet proof combo. These day, you can get conversion kits to put chevy trans in them.

I have a ZZ4 350crate motor in it now. Both performed excellent though. The 383 would work great. The increased stroke would give you awesome torque for 4 wheeling. I think that would be a great power plant for a Bronco.
