Re: Bronco 50 year Super Celebration April 12 - 16, 2016
Ok, at the moment we have 7 CCB members attending the Bronco Driver Super Celebration - myself, Phil, Mike, Keith, Keith's wife, Garry, and Jesse.
The Saturday morning convoy will include 5 rigs - myself, Phil, Mike, Keith, and Keith's wife. Garry will be riding shotgun with us. (I may be riding shotgun too if I don't get my rig finished in time). Jesse will meet us in Townsend on Tuesday.
I70 is the fastest route, about 1200 miles / 20 hours and takes us through Kansas City, St Louis, Nashville, and Knoxville.
We plan to leave early on Saturday morning and try to stay somewhere between Kansas City and St. Louis (Columbia, MO?) that night.
Sunday we can put it in 4 low and drive up and over the St. Louis Arch and stop in Nashville to launch Mike's musical career.
You can follow our progress if your bored stiff. http://glympse.com/0FX5-9NWZ?utm_source ... ign=invite
The original plan was to head home the following Sunday but I now have to be in California Monday evening for work so what an awesome excuse to stay Sunday for the Nascar race in Bristol, TN ? After the race I plan to drive to Memphis and catch a flight to CA. Phil is going to Denver, NC to show Nick first hand what "Viper Built" looks like. Wednesday I will meet up with Phil in Memphis to finish the drive home.
Not sure what everyone else plans to do for return portion of trip.
I am really excited this is all coming together and wish more people were able to come along.

Next year, I will be living on your route, so perhaps I can either offer any assistance, or perhaps join in on the convoy!!
1973 Bronco, 351 SEFI, Locked, discs, 35's ZF-5spd and Atlas 4spd. 235:1 Crawl Ratio. It may be ugly, but it's slow.

Given the weather the south has been seeing, I feel like I should throw in work gloves, chain saw, generator, etc.

So, Mike, Keith, Jesse...What are your plans for the return portion?
I have to be back to work Tuesday morning and am hoping to hitch a ride back by then. If not, flights aren't too bad right now but I don't want to wait much longer to book if needed.

I need to be back at work Tuesday as well. Heading home Sunday morning, stopping at my in-laws in KC Sunday night. There's an open seat if you need it.

Nope, despite the valiant efforts of many it didn't.
Many folks tried to help but my ambitions proved too great for even the best. Thanks to all that lent a hand including Tim, Garry, Chris, Mike, and Phil.
I stayed behind to keep working on it and take care of some other stuff.
