What did I just see?

Postby Gunnibronco » Thu May 12, 2016 4:13 pm

I was looking at a junked out dent side 4x4 Ford Econoline.

I saw it had radius arms and was high pinon, and thought I might grab it (free). The radius arm wedges were separate from the knuckles (pre 78 style). Then I noticed it had king pins, not ball joints. Was it a 44 or a 30? Never seen anything like it.

Looked like a D20 and a 9". I was told I could take anything off it I wanted. Would it have a C4 or a C6?

They weren't made by Ford, so it could be built with just about anything.

I found a little bit of info, but not much. Looks like there were kingpin HP D44s put into F100's from about 65-70. The pumpkin was weaker than a ball joint D44. The dent side van body style started in 75.

IDK, but what I saw yesterday was open knuckle.
