The shroud did help at low speed and idle in the triple digits. I did get some temp creep at high speed in those temps though. At cooler temps the engine runs within a couple degrees of the thermostat temp (193-195). Over 95 degrees would make creep to 203 after 10 miles on the highway at 70 mph. I know it doesn't sound terrible but this is on flat ground. So I did some research and found a replacement explorer radiator that had a 1/2" thicker core. Still 2 rows of tubes but each 1/4" wider. Total cost $118 at Summit. Now I have to wait for it to get hot again so I can put it to the test.

Watching with much interest.

I'm going to put the shroud on mine and see how it does with the summer temps arriving in CO.

I'm thinking I may have to change out my Bronco radiator for your set up, especially if I now have to install air conditioner condenser in front of radiator.

Will be curious about trans temps too as I currently run mine through an auxiliary cooler. Ousted in front of radiator.

I decided to plug some holes around the radiator while I was at it.

One last question about your power steering reservoir. What's the stock hose diameter?

3/4" on reservoir, 5/8" on pump.
