Because a month and a half to do 1.5 hours of work! I won't even get into the rest of the details, I don't understand how that shop is full.

Took out the old cage and test fit the new one, it actually fits really well. Going to be pulling it back out for paint.

Didn't mean to leave that there, been teaching my daughter to drive and forgot I stuck it there.

I haven't posted too much lately but I have been making some progress despite full time college. I got my new tilt column, lower column, and steering wheel installed and I am nearly done with the hydroboost. I just need to install the hoses, master cylinder, and bleed the brakes. Hopefully I am done with the issues of things not fitting, I guess we will see because I was having some issues with the hoses. Goal is to have it good enough to drive on the trailer by the end of the week so I can get the fab work on my front end and suspension done. Plans for the fab work are now to 3 link the front and pretty much cut out the metal from the firewall forward and tube the front under the stock sheet metal. I am also planning for the coil over hoops to be tied together. Also going to be doing away with the Holley fuel injection when I swap motors, I picked up a Fitech setup now since there is a rebate.

Thanks! I am still not sure of everything but I feel like building it up and getting everything fit once is better then doing a project here and there. I am hoping the build it/disassemble for body and paint/reassemble method works out in the long run.

Very nice ! did you use a disc brake conversion kit for the 9"? if so what brand. I really like those beadlocks where you able to get the tires balanced or are you using bb's. Bronco looks awesome!!

Disc brake kit is the DBK9TRK from MBM. As for the tires they aren't balanced, if they are bad once I start driving it I will probably go with Dyna Beads

The axles are being done for me by D and C Extreme here in Colorado Springs, its their disc brake kit for the 9''. As for the tires they aren't balanced, if they are bad once I start driving it I will probably go with Dyna Beads

I had great luck with the most dense airsoft pellets. I think I found some that were .25g ea, but that was a long time ago, so I could be off. Used dynabeads charts and weighed out mine.

Been making progress and hoping to get a lot done over the next month while I am on break. Started picking up stuff for the ZF5 swap:

Have/enroute
ZF5
Cross member
Master cylinder/clutch rod
Clutch pedal
Upper shifter
Flywheel

Need to get
Clutch set
Slave cylinder
Engine plate (what works?)

Anything I am missing?

Do you have the clutch line? Also- the fluid? I recommend the Redline MTL.

If you end up buying an Atlas, I have a 3/4" spacer kit that I didn't use. Let me know if you need it.

It will be fine, tube work is going to be kind of like the Scout below, all the stock sheet metal will bolt back on. Threw in a shot of the front axle almost done. I am looking forward to seeing how the tube work comes out.

Front end waiting on hubs while the motor gets buttoned back up. Went to do the Explorer front dress swap and found some leaks and the need for a new timing chain, gears, and oil pump.

I think I am having withdrawals since my Bronco is in the shop getting tube work, etc. done. Got a chance to do some Bronco related work today. Picked up stuff from powder coating and started reassembly. Pedals are now ready for the ZF5 swap and rebuilt with all new bushings and pads.

Didn't even think of it like that, lol!

Found these on Facebook this morning, I like the way it still looks like a Bronco with the sheet metal off.

That looks great. I'm jealous, I wish I had a tubing bender (and the skills to use one).

Thats the plan, I didn't do any wheeling this past summer so going to do a lot this summer.

I feel the same way, some day I will learn to do this stuff. Right now I am just the guy with the ideas.

Transmission and T-case swap getting started, ended up pulling the motor since it was only bolted to the trans. Having the tubing removable is working out well.
