Paint restoration / polishing recommendation

Post by Rox Crusher »

Does anybody have a recommendation for paint restoration ?

The paint on my 77 F150 is getting oxidized and in need of some serious elbow grease.

All of the auto detailers I am aware of just want to polish and wax.

IΓÇÖm looking for somewhere that will give it the full treatment......

I don't have a place to take it, but I found this info on restoring old single stage paint. If you want to tackle it yourself.

My cousin had his late 60's ford done a few years ago and it turned out amazing. Let me ask him...
1973 Bronco, 351 SEFI, Locked, discs, 35's ZF-5spd and Atlas 4spd. 235:1 Crawl Ratio. It may be ugly, but it's slow.

My cousin went here:

I never got to see the results in person, but I saw pictures and I know what the truck looked like before. Very oxidized and man it popped after they did their thing!!
