I took mine to Intermountain Radiator to do the same and then switch the inlets/outlets for the explorer front dress swap. I donΓÇÖt remember the cost but it was very fair. You may ask them if they do that on site or if they recommend a place that does it. Only problem is itΓÇÖs North Denver. But you can drop it off and go grab a beer with me!!

Not pertinent to your exact question but I saw some fancy new-ish radiator parts on steamboat craigslist

I called Intermountain and they quoted me $120! Sounded pricey, so I gave Colorado Radiator a call -- $40, which is more like what I was anticipating. I'll bring it over to them and we'll still have a beer!!

If it were summertime, I'd probably give this guy a call and try to get a smokin' deal on it. Those hoses alone are worth about $70.

ThatΓÇÖs insane. May as well buy a new Champion at that point. Mine was less than $100 for them to test and solder the holes to the opposite sides...

Just let me know when- IΓÇÖm working from home a majority of the next couple of weeks.

I think I paid $40 to have mine cleaned and pressure tested on my 76.

Yeah, that's the range I've paid in the past, which is why the $120 phone quote made my jaw drop. And the guy on the phone didn't exactly kill me with kindness! lol

Honestly, I'm second guessing myself not just putting a new core in this truck while I'm doing everything else. Looking really hard at the WH 4 core right now.

I have been running the stock brass one in my 76 since i had to tested about 4-5 years ago and will replace it here soon. Never had any issues with it but I flushed it out over the summer, there was allot of scale in it. I guess it is 41 years old...

I would have just gone with the BC Triple Pass on this one because I've run those in both my racers w/351's and they are AWESOME at keeping things cool in that Baja world. But they don't have auto transmission coolers in them and I want that with this Stroppe. The WH 4 core looks like it might be really close to that, w/o triple pass - and it fits with stock mounts. I've got zero use for cooling issues when I'm wheeling!

I feel like I should flush to motor to remove any scale since I have everything off of it, but it's cold...and my shop isn't heated... LOL
