Wiper arms

Post by BOBS 2 68S »

To change to the j**p wiper arms and blades, what year and model do I need to look for? I know the arms need modified. Or is there something better?

Full write up here. I did it and it works great. Not sure of anything better.

I Just did this upgrade yesterday using the 88 Cherokee rear wipers, I only cut 3" off the rear arms and used the 13" Bosch blades, from reading the tech article its seem that people are using a different spring due to chattering. I haven't tried the wipers in real world conditions yet but I used the OEM springs off the OEM arms they seem a little lighter.

The typical problem with the Bronco wipers is that the springs arenΓÇÖt strong enough to keep them on the glass when traveling faster than 55. I had this problem before upgrading to the Cherokee wipers.

Now my wipers have a little too much tension and the blades kind of drag on the glass.

I have converted and used 4-5 sets and they work great. If you cut them right you can get 14ΓÇ¥ blades on them
